Denim Cutoffs

I am READY for Summer!

It is now officially summer… hopefully Seattle will get the Memo and catch up! For now, I am craving cutoff jean shorts over a bikini and flip flops. I have multiple pairs of jeans in my closet, I just cannot decide which ones I want to take the scissors and razor to…

Perhaps it would be a better idea if I just went out and bought a pair of PRE-MADE cutoffs ~ that makes sense actually. However, I want them to LOOK like I did it myself. Is that a double standard???

{Love the Olsen gals rockin’ two different styles}

{Cutoffs Galore!}

{Pair with a Blazer and Wedges – Cool AND Crisp}

{Sweater+Cutoffs=Awesome!}

{LOVE these two toned, studded shorts… Ah-Mazing!}

Happy Summer Lovelies!

Ear Cuff

Today I am craving a new piercing or tattoo… or both.

I think I shall buy an Ear Cuff.

{The Ultimate VERY cool Accessory with minimum commitment – just the way I like it!}

I love this leaf cuff, with the Diamond Stud…

{I ♥ the Feather Chain}

{OF COURSE, I had to have an actual Feather option!}

What do you think of the Ear Cuff – Large or Small?

Trend: Colored Jeans

Trending: Colored Jeans

Right now everywhere I look, I see Red Jeans (and Turquoise and Purple and Yellow…)!

As a Traditionalist when it comes to denim, I usually stick to my dark-washed jeans. I have two pairs. Clearly I am not much of a Jeans person (not sure why that is, I just happen to wear a variety of skirts and dresses). However, I am starting to fall for the colored jeans look!

Paired with a Sparkly Top and Faux Fur:

Also Loving the Purple Jean Look (Charming!!):

Skinny Turquoise Jeans:

{Found on Pinterest, but you can buy a similar pair from Roxy!}

Ok, now that I have been drooling over a million pairs of colored jeans over the past hour, I have decided that I will have to add a pair (or two!!) to my already abundant closet!

What’s not to L.O.V.E. about this??

How to Wear: Mint and Fuschia

For the Late Spring/Early Summer of 2012, I am loving the Color Combination of Mint Green and Fuschia Pink.

The softness of the mint paired with the starkness of the pink remind me of the changing seasons and how busy my life seems to get in the summer! The mint has a calming effect while the fuschia seems invigorate. Best of both worlds, story of my life as it seems…

I simply adore the combination of these shades paired together!

Here is how I would wear them…

Seattle Street Style

Having just moved from a place in the south where people wear College Football T-shirts and cut-off jeans to Church, I am scrambling to find my sense of style here in Seattle. Sure, I have a plethora of scarves, black trousers and maybe a few sweaters, but mostly I packed Maxi-Dresses and strappy Heels!

Uhm… What was I thinking?? I basically went from Summer (80s-90s+) to late Winter (45-55 degrees) in only 24 hours.

About five minutes after I got off the airplane, my Sister (who lives here) asked me where my coat was and I replied: “Uhm, I don’t own a coat.” This is what happens when you live in South Georgia and the Panhandle of Florida for numerous years. Cold Weather? What is that??

Thankfully, Seattle has some Ah-Mazing Thrift Stores and Awesome Street Style for Inspiration!

I have come to the conclusion that I NEED the following items:

Black Leather Jacket, Boots, Skinny Jeans, Cool Sunnies and a Bus Pass!

How to wear White before Memorial Day…

We all know the Age-Old  Rule that you simply CANNOT wear white after Labor Day or before Memorial Day (unless, of course, you are over the age of 65 or under the age of 5, in which case no one will judge you!).

However, living in the south where the weather is 82 degrees in March (like today), I would like to explore the possibilities of wearing white, cream, and ivory in the Spring.

{Ivory sundress with brown leather belt – perfect for strolling an art fair on a sunny afternoon. Find at DELiaAs}

{White Skirt paired with Black Tank Top}

{Romantic White Blouse… which I would pair with jean cutoff shorts and wedges}

And for wearing White AFTER Labor Day….

{White blouse with Leather Jacket!}

These are just a few ideas to get me started….

I plan to dust off my short white eyelet skirt and parade around town this weekend!!

WOULD YOU WEAR WHITE BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY… AND HOW???
