Friendly Weekend

Sometimes there is nothing like laughter with a good friend to rejuvenate a person’s soul. One of my dearest friends flew in from Missouri this weekend to see me. We have both changed so much over the past seven years, but deep down we are still the same creative, thoughtful, funny, outrageous gals that met while performing in Fiddler on the Roof so many summers ago. I love and cherish my friend Angi. Without her I might not be where I am today. She has always been my shoulder to cry on, my inspiration and my source of laughter. Cheers to broken wine glasses and concerts in Chicago!

Life can be wildly tragic at times, and I’ve had my share. But whatever happens to you, you have to keep a slightly comic attitude. In the final analysis, you have got to not forget to laugh.

“Sometimes you put walls up not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.”

Thanksgiving 2010

I am so thankful to be surrounded by my family and friends on this Holiday. I often take for granted all of the blessing that I have in my life. I complain about what I don’t have without realizing what I DO have! Here are some of the things that I am thankful for right now:
*My Daughter – she is such a blessing to my life.
*My family and friends – I have so many supportive and loving people in my life!
*My Job – I have one that I (for the most part) enjoy.
*My House – Super cute little house that is all my own
*My Health – no major issues there…
*My Car – 2001 Passat with 150k miles on it… but it still gets me from point A to point B (Provided that the points aren’t too far apart)
*My Bestest Girl Friends – they are my LIFELINE!!!
*My Dreams – because no matter what happens, I still have the same dreams and goals!

New York City in June!!!

So…. I am planning a trip with one of my Bestest Friends Camie Joy to New York City this summer (hopefully in June!!).  To live in New York City has been a life long dream of mine, and I am BEYOND-EXCITED about this trip! I used to daydream about living in a loft in NYC while I was folding laundry at Eleven-years-old! That is how long I have fantasized about going there! To say that I am excited would be an understatement! I promise to post pictures of all our “adventures” while we are there!!
