Trending: Colored Jeans

Right now everywhere I look, I see Red Jeans (and Turquoise and Purple and Yellow…)!

As a Traditionalist when it comes to denim, I usually stick to my dark-washed jeans. I have two pairs. Clearly I am not much of a Jeans person (not sure why that is, I just happen to wear a variety of skirts and dresses). However, I am starting to fall for the colored jeans look!

10 Crosby Derek Lam ~ Fall 2012 RTW Collection

As always, during New York Fashion Week I see collections that I ADORE and collections that don’t quite suit me. The 10 Crosby Derek Lam Fall RTW collection falls into the first category! The reasonably priced collection sports pieces that look like they belong on a New York City socialite lounging in her Upper East Side flat before a night out. The pajama pants paired with a navy jacket and mile high Red Heels look comfy enough to make dinner, mix cocktails and then entertain guests with ease.

New Years Eve Glam

My New Years Eve was filled with great friends, a lot of laughter, champagne and of course: Glitter and Sequins! I chose to wear a Little Black Dress and Glam it up with silver sparkle and a faux fur and silk stole.

My Accessories:
(Silver Bamboo Heels, Bangle bracelets from Body Central , False eyelashes, Red and Silver glitter nailpolishes, Earrings by NY&Co.)

Blustery Saturday Inspiration

My life has been a WHIRLWIND recently! The past few weeks have been a barrage of social activities, packing my house, getting ready to move…. and everything that comes with several big changes in my life! I am moving from Georgia back to Florida. It’s an exciting yet crazy busy time!! Needless to say, my lovely blog has been neglected a bit. I am still finding inspiration in the world around me, just not as much at the moment to share it with all of you. However, on this chilly Saturday morning, I will pass along a few nuggets.

One Maxi Dress – Three Ways to Wear It!

I love my Derek Heart Blue Maxi Dress from this past summer! I practically LIVED in it! It feels so comfy, almost like I am walking around in my Pajamas! I wore it to the beach over my bikini, to the store over a tank top and out for dinner under a cardigan. It is such a versatile piece in my closet!! I decided to create a few ways to keep wearing my beloved Maxi Dress into fall/winter.

Here is what I came up with….

Start with a Maxi Dress (Mine from Ross) Look One: (Ivory Sweater, Scarf, Brown Mary Janes) (Rafaela Sweater-Kohls, Thrift Store Scarf found in Seattle, Somethin’ Else for Skechers Mary Janes-Also from a Thrift Store) Look Two: (Blue Hampshire Studio sweater-given to me by my Mother, Rue21 heels, Plaid scarf-a gift from a friend from NYC) Look Three: (Merona Jacket-thrift store find, Pierre Dumas Shoes-gift from my Sister!) Hope you enjoyed my Incredibly Thrifty Post!! It didn’t start out as that, however, as I looked at where all my clothes came from I realized that I am pretty thrifty! Chanel Spring 2012 Collection

Chanel’s Spring 2012 RTW collection is simply breathtaking! The light, wispy fabrics in romantic pastels epitomized spring. Karl Lagerfeld mixed structured suits with asymmetrical cut dresses for a truly diverse collection. Pearls and Bubbles were a theme through out the collection, both on the models and off in the underwater backdrop.

I am craving the fluffy, ruffled skirts and tweed jackets for Spring.

Girlie Things

Today I am feeling very Girlie!

Sometimes I wake up and I just want to wear a fancy dress and pearls. Sometimes I want to wear my pink-est lip gloss. Sometimes I want to wear lace and ruffles. Sometimes I want to embrace my femininity to the fullest extent that I am physically able to.

Missoni for Target – Sept 13th

As if being in the middle of New York Fashion Week wasn’t enough, here is something ELSE to get Super Excited about: the Missoni for Target line debuts tomorrow! (September 13th). Gorgeous clothes that are super radical (as I like to call them) AND affordable!!

Everyone is a fan of the brilliant Margherita Missoni!

The clothing from the Missoni for Target line ranges from mini dresses to swim suits and everything in between! Jackets, gloves and scarves, tights… it is a buffet of Italian clothing design at its finest.

At prices the average woman can afford, who can resist?!?!?!
