Family Christmas 2012

All I want for Christmas is… More time with my Wonderful Family! After spending three short days with my Seven Siblings, Mom and Dad and one Fabulous Sis-in-Law, it was a little hard to leave them. The Holidays are always a time to embrace and be thankful for our loved ones.

Here are some of the Pictures from my Trip:

My New Years Eve Outfit Ideas

Having had my Family Christmas in the South last weekend, I cannot help but think about New Years Eve (It is REALLY still three weeks away?!?!?). Last year I was decked out in Silver Glitter and a Little Black Dress (here).

This year I want to put together a look that is Old-Hollywood-Glamour meets Rock-Star-Punk.

Here are some of the ideas I have collected so far…… tell me what you think!

Just Another Mani Monday

With my “Day Job” being at a fast-paced Nail Polish start-up (Julep), I have the pleasure of seeing all kinds of Fabulous Mani/Pedi combos! I have become the girl who changes her polish every other day (yes, that’s me!) because there are just TOO MANY colors that I want/need to try! Almost as soon as my Mani dries I spot a new color/creme/matte/glitter that I simply MUST try. To say that I am becoming an addict might be somewhat of an understatement.

In honor of Mani Monday, here are a few of my recent Nail Findings.

Enjoy the Inspiration!

Frugal Friday – Celeb Look for Less

Seattle weather is fickle. Freezing in the morning, tolerable in the afternoon, pitch-black and windy/rainy on way home. I have learned to dress in layers and be prepared for anything. For today's Look for Less I would like to highlight the Shorts & Tights combination on Miranda Kerr:

**On Miranda: Isabel Marant Coat (here), Boots (here), Givenchy Bag (here)**

What better way to layer than with Tights, Shorts, Boots and a fabulous Coat?!?!

Look For Less: Miranda Kerr

Mango sweat shirt / Vero Moda , $86 / H&M , $32 / Diane von Furstenberg opaque tight / London Rebel black boots, $64 / Christian Dior lip stick

Would YOU wear Shorts & Tights together? Tell me why or why not....

Have a Fab Weekend Lovelies!

Ask the Expert: Lindsey from Crazy Pretty Make-Up

When you want to look Red Carpet ready (or like you just stepped off the pages of Vogue) turn to Make-Up Artist Lindsey Williams of Crazy Pretty. Lindsey transforms the hair and faces of the likes of Jenna Elfman and Eva Cavalli as well as Runways shows and Magazine shoots. A Midwestern Gal turned New Yorker, Lindsey loves creating beauty on a fresh face!

Read our exclusive interview:

1.What is currently in your Makeup bag?Dr. Jart+ Beauty Balm, Cle da Peau Concealer, Make Up For Ever Face & Body, MAC, Becca and Benefit blushes, YSL Touche Eclat, Bdellium Brushes, Shu Uemura Lash Curler, Diptyque Smoothing Lip Balm2.What Make-Up trends would you endorse for Fall/Winter? I'm loving the Bordeaux lip trend. It works on every skin tone and can be applied as a stain with a bit of color and a balm or full coverage with a long wear lipstick.Skin is always something I'm focused on and I am happy to see the dewy, healthy look is still a must. Nothing over done or too thick.Smokey eyes in browns and deep jewel tones like green and blue are another fun trend that can be played around with by using a liner smudged into the lash line (if you're nervous about trying colors), or varying shades of the color you love blended into a gorgeous full smokey eye. Be sure to give the eye a pop of shine in the corner of the eyes if you do a full smokey look!

3.What is your Go-To beauty routine? I'm pretty simple with my own beauty routine. Definitely half my makeup bag is committed to good, clean skin, balm on the lips, defined brow, lots of mascara and I'm a sucker for blushes :-) If I'm going out, I love a nice smokey plumy greige.4.How did you get started in the Beauty Industry? It's hard to believe now, but I actually did some modeling for a few commercial and bridal clients back in the day. I'd always been fascinated with beauty ads and editorials and after several gentle nudges from friends and photographers I worked with, I gave into my obsession and gave makeup and hair a professional try!. :-) It wasn't a difficult decision to make and I very quickly and excitedly immersed myself into the industry! I started in a small midwest town and eventually moved myself to NYC to continue pursuing what I know will be the most exciting and rewarding days of my career.

5.What are your Top Five Beauty Products (from high end to drug store buys)? What I have in my personal makeup bag are some of my favorites, so I'll try and give you an additional five!L'Oreal Voluminous Million LashesBeauty Blender (gives you the most beautiful application with your favorite foundation)

Fresh Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment (at Sephora)

Make Up For Ever Aqua Black (the best gel liner out there!)

Dior Shadows (Amazing pigment)
